ACCESS TO EXPOSURE AND MEDICAL RECORDS

In 1980, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued a standard requiring employers to provide employees with information to assist in the management of their own safety and health.  The standard, "Access to Employee Exposure and Medical Records" (29 CFR 1910.20), permits direct access by employees or their designated representatives and by OSHA to employer-maintained exposure and medical records.
